How can you Ever Plan a Successful Romantic Getaway? Men and Women are too Different!

romantic getaways new york, romantic getaways njGals, do you sometimes feel that the only way you can really get close to your guy is to gulp down booze while you cuddle up to him on the sofa and watch sports on TV? Guys, do you envision a room full of perfumed candles, sentimental music, and hours of effort as the only way to get your gal in the mood? Are these impressions real – or stereotypes?

Guess what?

Many guys don’t really care all that much about sports. They watch the big game (and enjoy it), but sometimes their sports interest is sparked by boredom or a quest for subject matter to discuss with the guys at work. They would rather go to a museum opening or on a wine-tasting tour. (Remember ‘Frasier’?) Some men are invigorated by a debate or an argument with an intelligent woman – followed by a particularly ardent reconciliation afterwards.

Many women nowadays are actually so busy (and tired) that they don’t want to spend hours being romanced. They may be particularly receptive to seemingly mild love scenes during a TV program – or a thoughtful gesture, like her guy remembering the anniversary of their first kiss with a single rose.

You can’t peghole anyone. We are all different.

While planning a romantic getaway together, you and your partner should be prepared to make some concessions to the other person’s likes and dislikes. It is highly unlikely that you will agree on everything.

If one of you likes camping, but the other doesn’t, perhaps a backpacking trip would be ideal. You can spend days in the great outdoors – and nights in a romantic cabin with strawberries and chocolate sauce in the refrigerator, truffles on the bed, and heated Jacuzzi on the back deck. Relax in front of a real fireplace while you feed one another strawberries. You can practice your massage skills in the Jacuzzi by soothing those tired hiking muscles.

If you are flying to Vegas because one of you likes gambling, plan to tour the M+M and Coca Cola factories. Travel the show circuit and watch fantastic entertainers like Cirque du Soleil, famous singers, and extraordinary magic acts. Perhaps spend an evening strolling hand-in-hand down the strip, gazing at the lights and hotels along the way. [Editor's Note: If you want to have a great time in Las Vegas, be sure to pick up a copy of this guide that has insider tips and tricks to make the most out of your romantic Vegas getaway. It's going for 50% off for a limited time!]

The locale of a romantic getaway is not nearly as important as the company and ambiance. Treat one another with love and respect before, during, and after your getaway. Don’t be afraid to show a bit of affection in public – perhaps holding hands, whispering sweet nothings to one another, and silently mouthing ‘I love you’ from across the table during supper. Order one dessert and two forks or one milkshake with two straws. Talk about something that won’t provoke a disagreement. Avoid topics like work, relatives, kids (if you have them), and household renovations.

Every romantic getaway is a product of thoughtful planning and respect for your partner’s desires. It is not a place or an activity, but a state of mind that can continue into every day of the year.

Take a romantic break to the Pacific Northwest

romantic getaways in washington state, romantic getaway bc Why not take your partner to the Pacific Northwest on a vacation with a difference?

As the summer season approaches, you might be thinking of taking your loved one on a romantic vacation. And while a city break in New York or a cosy cottage retreat in New England can provide attractive destinations, they tend to be all too predictable. Why not take your partner to the Pacific Northwest on a romantic holiday for a vacation with a difference? Whether you choose to visit a range of city destinations – from Seattle and Portland to Vancouver and Boise – or you decide to traverse the area’s more mountainous regions, you’ll find a variety of locations that are sure to inspire you.

Seattle offers romantic couples a range of delights, especially if you visit between April and October. The home of coffee culture, Seattle also offers a range of first-class restaurants for the avid diner. With a range of locally-produced fruits, vegetables and cheeses, Seattle also offers a distinct version of West Coast fusion cuisine with its roots firmly influenced by Asian and Middle Eastern immigrant communities. What’s more, if you and your partner share a love of music, you’ll revel in Seattle’s position as the Mecca of grunge music. The city is home to a variety of historic bands like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana and Modest Mouse; and if music is one of your shared passions, then paying homage to these bands is sure to be a romantic experience for both of you!

Or why not visit Boise, Idaho, also known as the ‘City of Trees’, for a cosy couple’s experience that you’re sure to remember. Boise has its origins rooted firmly in the nineteenth century, as home to Fort Boise (erected in the 1830s and abandoned in the 1840s) and situated near the intersection of the Oregon Trail. Today, however, Boise is home to a number of museums, including the Boise Art Museum, Idaho Historical Museums and the Basque Museum and Cultural Centre. In fact, Boise is home to the largest Basque community in the USA – the third largest outside Spain – making for a unique atmosphere that couples are sure to appreciate. What’s more, if you’re hoping to take some romantic walks on your vacation, try visiting the Morrison-Knudsen Nature Center in Boise, which offers a range of water features in tranquil surroundings.

Of course, if you and your partner are an active couple, you’ll adore the opportunities for hiking and mountain biking offered by the mountain ranges of the Pacific Northwest. Whether you choose to explore the Rocky Mountains, the Columbia Mountains or the Cascade Mountain range (among others), you’ll find yourself in a spectacular geographic setting with the opportunity for breathtakingly romantic views. How about taking a trip up Mount St. Helens or Mount Rainier in the Washington Cascades, which measures up to 14,410 feet ?

Where ever you choose to take your loved one on vacation in the serene Pacific Northwest of the USA you’ll find a range of romantic hotel deals that are sure to save you money. So not only will you able to experience one of the country’s finest geographical locations with your special someone, you can do it without breaking the bank.

[Editor's Note: If you're planning to fly to the Pacific Northwest, don't pay too much for airfare. Pick up this guide before you book and don't get ripped off!]

romantic getaways for honeymoons, getaway holiday honeymoon romanticGetting married has got to be one of the most important and happy days of anyone’s life. However, when it comes to trying to plan the honeymoon, some couples discover that it can be a nightmare. Many couples today try to plan romantic honeymoon getaways but realize that their budget is somewhat limited. Besides, no couple wants to get into years’ worth of debt just for their honeymoon.

While it might be tempting for some couples to just put everything on their charge card and forget about the cost, it’s probably much more prudent to think about ways you can cut costs for romantic honeymoon getaways without cutting out too much of your enjoyment.

For one thing many romantic honeymoon getaways are taken in places like Hawaii, Cancun, Fiji, Bora Bora, or other exotic tropical areas.  These places are very beautiful and know how to cater to couples, but you can enjoy romantic honeymoon getaways in many other locations as well, most of which will be much more affordable.

For those who live in the U.S., a plane ticket to Florida will probably be cheaper than one to Hawaii.  The beaches of Florida are comparable to those in Hawaii, but things are usually much less expensive.  There are also many resorts in areas like Arizona and California that offer some amazing beachfronts but which are less costly than traveling to Hawaii or someplace out of the country. [Editor's Note: You can save a bundle on airfare if you know how. Check out this guide that was written by an ex-travel agent. The tips in it are invaluable!]

Considering alternative locations when it comes to romantic honeymoon getaways is going to be a key part of saving some money during this time.  Many couples find that visiting places like the Grand Canyon, Yosemite or Yellowstone National Park, or the Great Smokey Mountains all mean beautiful and relaxing honeymoons that are very romantic but which are also more affordable than some exotic resort.

Couples can also plan romantic honeymoon getaways in these areas by renting a nice cabin rather than a hotel room in a luxury spa, which will in turn save more money.  If you manage to book a place with a kitchen, just cooking your own food can save you a bundle.  Another big cost for romantic honeymoon getaways is room service and eating out, so just making breakfast every day and bringing one’s own gourmet chocolates and treats is also a great way to save costs.

What couples do during romantic honeymoon getaways is also part of their expense.  Admission to museums, amusement parks, and other things such as these can really add up.  Choosing to go hiking, biking, horseback riding, swimming, or boating can be more affordable than these other activities, and you’ll also feel fitter doing it.  One thing you can try is to choose one or two special things to see or do during romantic honeymoon getaways and then spend the rest of the time doing things that are free or much less expensive.

Knowing one’s budget beforehand and being determined to stick to it will help; these other activities are often very enjoyable as well!  So for your bank account’s sake, keep these tips and tricks in mind when planning for honeymoons.

Ten years down the road, you’ll thank yourself!

cheap romantic weekend getaways, popular romantic getaways For most of us, the pace of life is speeding up considerably. With family, friends, and responsibilities all demanding our time, how can we spend time planning and preparing for a romantic getaway with our significant other?

But then again, who’s to say that romantic weekend getaways can’t be successful and enjoyable as well?  If you know how to plan such quick trips, you may find that they’re much easier than you imagined and may find that you can work them into your schedule more often then you thought!

So to help you along, here are some easy tips for planning romantic weekend getaways.

Tip #1 – Know Your Surroundings

Who says that a romantic getaway absolutely needs to be somewhere far far away? Instead, familiarize yourself with nearby resorts, cabins, or lakeside retreats that you enjoy.  Most people live within an hour or two of such places; you just need to do some hunting to find them.

Having such a place ready for romantic weekend getaways will mean that you won’t need to do that hunting and searching when you’re ready to go.  If you’ve already got a few choice spots in mind, you can just pick of the phone when the mood strikes, and off you go! This way, a romantic weekend getaway can be just a phone call away.

Tip #2 – Keep it Simple

Don’t try and complicate your romantic weekend getaways.  Planning an extensive vacation with lots of activities and attractions is all well and good, but only when you really have time to plan.  Trying to take in all the sights and activities of any area will just mean more money, more clothes to pack, and more distractions.

If you choose a nice lakeside resort or cabin and know that you can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, swimming, or boating, then your romantic weekend getaways are easy to pack for and easy to prepare for.  There’s no driving around looking for something to do and no need to spend time going back and forth from your cabin to a nearby city.

Remember that romantic weekend getaways are about the two of you as a couple reconnecting and getting some much needed rest.  Leave those hectic and hurried vacations for another day when you have the kids and you have the time to do anything and everything you want to do.

Tip #3 – Remember to Relax

One of the common traps with romantic weekend getaways is thinking you shouldn’t spend time getting any rest since you don’t want to waste a moment, but sometimes when you’re away together it’s good to just sit and be quiet for awhile.  If you want to take a nap, then take a nap.  If you want to soak in the tub, then do it.

Romantic weekend getaways don’t always mean just sexual activity but about being together and reconnecting mentally and emotionally as well.  Taking time to just talk and just rediscover each other as a couple can go a long way toward helping your relationship, and that’s really the start to true romance.

Sometimes a weekend away can be challenging. You can also have a great time on a well-planned date. This guide gives you 300 of some of the most creative date ideas, and was even featured on Oprah!

So keep your romantic weekend getaways simple and uncomplicated; find a favorite spot nearby, and remember to rest and enjoy!

romantic getaways new hampshire, northwest romantic getawaysThe dreary winter months can really get you down, but instead of staying inside, why not use this as an opportunity to spend some quality alone time with your significant other?  Planning romantic winter getaways makes quite a lot of sense since you’re cooped up inside anyway, so why not spend that time reconnecting as a couple?

But before running out into the snow, there are some important things to consider in order for romantic winter getaways to be restful and romantic; just showing up at some ski lodge or cabin in the dead of winter and thinking that romance is going to happen automatically is probably a mistake.  Here are some things to consider.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you’re having a case of cabin fever at home, those romantic winter getaways might not be a cure.  It’s always good to plan on doing something to get you outside and get you active.  Most ski resorts have other activities you can engage in even if you don’t ski or snowboard; this might include hiking, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, horseback riding, or ice skating.

If you plan for romantic winter getaways in a nice town, you can probably also get out and walk around the different stores or area attractions.  Look for time when they have ice carving demonstrations or something along those lines so you have something to do and somewhere to go.

Make sure you talk to each other about your expectations; if you want to get out and about and your partner is looking forward to just lounging around on the couch, you’re going to have some conflict.  Like all other vacations and trips, romantic winter getaways require open communication and compromise.  Go out one day and spend the next in the cabin, or decide on a set amount of time you’ll spend indoors or outdoors.

Another thing you must do is check on the expected weather before planning romantic winter getaways.  It’s not going to be very romantic if it’s snowing constantly and you get stuck at the airport, or worse, snowed in completely.  You might not want to go during the snowiest part of the year, and instead wait until a month that’s a bit more mild.

A pricier option is to plan romantic winter getaways at lodges and resorts.  It’s definitely worth your time to check around for bargains and package deals.  See if you can combine airfare and accommodations.  If you do stay at a ski lodge you may be able to forego a rental car since everything is right there at the lodge.

Check for places that are off the beaten path as well.  Everyone thinks of Colorado when it comes to skiing, but what about Michigan, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts?  Even areas in Canada are often more affordable than others when it comes to romantic winter getaways.

If you’re yearning for something more tropical, how about a caribbean cruise? They can be very affordable if you know where to look. This guide can help you find some great deals on cruises any time of the year:

Cruise Guide

Remember that the time you spend finding the most affordable option will be worth it in the dollars and cents you save.  So take time to compare and you’ll be sure to find the right one for you.

Romantic winter getaways are great to shake the winter blues and also reconnect as a couple. With the proper planning, they can be a very enjoyable and memorable experience.

cabins romantic getaways, romantic cabin getaways in indianaSometimes, the cost of a getaway is one thing that keeps many couples from going away alone together.  The price of airfare and gas seem to be constantly climbing, and then there’s the added cost of a room, admission to museums and other attractions, and eating out.  So do cheap romantic getaways actually exist?

How can you save some money on that precious time away without compromising the enjoyment of your vacation or romantic rendezvous?  Well the good news is that cheap romantic getaways are certainly possible if you know how to plan them.

For one thing, remember that there are often many choices for anything you’re trying to plan; tropical paradises can be found in Florida or California, which may mean a cheaper plane ticket than Hawaii or Cancun.  Tropical cheap romantic getaways can also be planned for Arizona or Texas; these spots are usually much more affordable than Fiji or Bora Bora. Planning cheap romantic getaways will mean considering these "second choices."  [Editor's Note: You can really save a bundle on airfare if you know how. Check out this great guide that was written by a disgruntled ex-travel agent.]

You might even need to forego the tropical paradise altogether and head for a nearby lake or coastline instead.  Those who live in the Midwestern part of the United States can try anywhere near the Great Lakes, where you can find many resorts that revolve around endless water sports.

Want a romantic, European feeling but don’t have the time or money to go to Europe? Try Montreal, Canada! You can experience a town with a very European atmosphere for a fraction of the price.

Accommodations will also be a big part of cheap romantic getaways.  For instance, instead of checking into a luxury hotel, consider a cabin instead.  A bed and breakfast may not be the same as a spa, but this type of establishment can offer a beautiful and comfortable room for the two of you.  A bed and breakfast is usually very restful and a cabin at the lake can offer some amazing landscapes and even some wildlife to enjoy.

You can also find many things to do during the day for these types of cheap romantic getaways.  Hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, fishing, and sightseeing are all probably going to be much less expensive than admissions to museums or amusement parks.  These types of activities are also typically more relaxing and give the two of you a chance to reconnect with each other.

Sometimes, cheap romantic getaways will mean giving up those amenities that you get at a luxury hotel, but these other venues can also provide you and your partner with a wonderful vacation, and you many even discover an enjoyable activity that both of you enjoy.

Remember that even cheap romantic getaways can mean a beautiful location and fun activities outside of the cabin or lodge.  Getting back to nature may be just the thing you need to help recharge your batteries and get you rested.

But if you and your partner would still rather see the big city, just make sure to opt for matinee shows and a hotel off the expressway a bit.

Mostly, be sure to appreciate what you can afford.  If you’re determined to enjoy yourself you probably will, but if you’re resentful and bitter, it’s a surefire way to chase away the romance and spoil the entire trip!

With the right planning and mindset, cheap romantic getaways don’t have to feel cheap!

romantic weekend getaway packages, new york romantic weekend getaway Romantic weekend getaways can really help a couple recharge their batteries and reconnect with each other.  But when family and other responsibilities demand most of your waking hours, you can’t always take a week or two just for yourselves. As such, planning for a weekend away may be more feasible and more affordable as well.

But before you pick up and take off, consider some tips for successful romantic weekend getaways and see if they might not apply to you.

Tip #1 – Arranging Sitters

For one thing, if you have more than one child remember that this might be a bit too much for one set of grandparents who probably aren’t used to all the grandkids being over at once.  Try to "farm out" your kids when planning for romantic weekend getaways; offer to have one of their friends spend the night at your house the next weekend if one of your can spend the night at a friend’s house this weekend.

Remember that your own brother or sister may be able to babysit as well if they’re old enough; usually kids love spending time with a favorite aunt or uncle.  You’ll probably be in a better frame of mind when approaching your romantic weekend getaways if you know that your own parents aren’t overwhelmed with all the kids.

Tip #2 – Unplug

There’s no way that romantic weekend getaways are enjoyable if you’re constantly distracted with work and business.  Be determined to ignore your email and switch off the cell phone, or at the very least set some limits for yourself – you get one check of email and of voice mail per day, and spend no more than five minutes returning messages for either.

Remember that romantic weekend getaways are about the two of you, not about one of you taking advantage of this time to catch up on paperwork or messages from coworkers.  So ignore messages as much as possible while away.

Tip #3 – Location, Location, Location

Since romantic weekend getaways are limited in time you might want to opt for a location near you and save those faraway places for a time when you can use up a day traveling.  Most people live with a few hours of some type of lake resort or city where they can rent a cabin or stay at a bed and breakfast.  Spending too many hours in a car driving or cooped up in a plane flying is not going to lead to anything but exhaustion!

You need to make the most of your time when it comes to romantic weekend getaways so don’t try to cram in all the activities you might enjoy during other vacations.  Think ahead of time of what activities there are at your resort – hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, etc. – and decide what you’re going to do and what you can do without.  If you try to fit in all the activities offered during your romantic weekend getaways you’re not only going to be disappointed, but you might also find yourself more exhausted when you get home than when you left!

For many busy couples, romantic weekend getaways are just the ticket to rest, rejuvenate, and – perhaps most of all – spend some quality alone time together. One of the best sources for creative ideas for getways and dates is this guide:

romantic getaways at the last minuteSpontaneity is a great way to spark a flame in any relationship, and if you’re fortunate enough to be able to take some time off with your significant other, you may wonder how to plan memorable last minute romantic getaways.

Whether it’s a surprise for the other person or just a fortunate situation you find yourself in, you do need to make some plans in advance for everything to happen smoothly and for your getaway to be a success.  Here are some basic tips to make last minute romantic getaways run smoothly and be as relaxing and refreshing as possible.

Here are three great tips that will help you enjoy last minute romantic getaways that much more:

Tip #1 – Stay Organized

For last minute romantic getaways, take a few minutes and write down a list of everything that should be packed.  Consider these few minutes to be an investment in the success of your vacation.  Keep the list handy and check things off as they get packed – bathing suit, sun block, shampoo, and so on.  Add to it as you think of things even if you toss them in your suitcase right as this will keep you from wondering if you really did pack it.

Remember that for last minute romantic getaways, you don’t have as much time to shop for things you need, so you might need to make do with what you have.  Rather than running to the store for travel sized items, just seal tightly your shampoo and other bath items and put them in large watertight plastic bags.

Keeping all your "wet" items in a separate suitcase or overnight bag ensures that nothing leaks onto your other items – something that can ruin the trip for many of us.  If you’re flying you may even need to forego these things altogether as airlines are cracking down on the amount of liquid items you can carry with you.

Therefore, just pack the essentials and leave at home all those unnecessary personal care items that you can do without for a few days or a week.

Tip #2 – Keep Things Simple

There’s no need to think about every last thing you’ll need on last minute romantic getaways.  If you’re going someplace elegant, pack clothes you can wear with one pair of dressy shoes so you don’t need endless accessories.  If you’re staying at a beach or lakefront resort, you can dress very casually so forget about packing dressy clothes at all!

Drop the "just in case" attitude and keep your packing for your last minute romantic getaway to a bare minimum. You’ll find that if you did forget something, you can probably find it when you get there.

Tip #3 – Don’t Rush

One common mistake that many make on last minute romantic getaways is to be so rushed and hurried that they’re exhausted and in no mood for romance once they get there.  Be sure to take some time when you arrive to relax with you arrive.  Spend the first night being very low-key rather than running right to the beach or casino or any other attraction.  After all, last minute romantic getaways should be both restful and relaxing!

Last minute romantic getaways are a great way to surprise your partner and spend some alone time together. Need some ideas on some quick getaways you can have with your partner? Here’s a great guide offering some of the most creative date ideas I’ve ever seen.

So don’t put it off… plan one for you and your partner today!

couple looking for cheap romantic getawayRomantic weekend getaways are a great way to connect as a couple. But, planning affordable romantic weekend getaways is a tall order for most people. In this economic climate, just about everyone today is finding their budget stretched and strained to the limit, but this doesn’t mean that you should just throw your hands up and give up your "alone time."  Just about every relationship benefits from some time away from daily responsibilities so that the couple can relax and reconnect.

So how can you plan affordable romantic weekend getaways that both of you will enjoy without having to take out a third mortgage on the house? Here are tips:

Finding Affordable Accommodations

Your accommodations are probably one of the biggest expenses for any vacation, so finding something more affordable is going to be a top priority. Here are some ideas:

  • For one, non-traditional housing such as cabins or lodges is great for affordable romantic getaways; without the kids hanging around, you may find a new appreciation for camping! [Editor's Note: If the idea of a romantic camping getaway sounds good to you, there's a great guide about romantic camping available here.]
  • You can save even more money if you find a place with a working kitchen so you can cook your own food. Of course, if you decide to find a hotel or cabin with a kitchen for affordable weekend romantic getaways, don’t think you need to eat hamburgers and hot dogs the entire time.  Even if you go camping, you can pack some nice steaks, fresh fruit, and gourmet chocolates.  Since this is your time to relax, take the time to make a nice omelet in the morning rather than having cold cereal and milk like you would back home!  Visit the bakery before you leave and get some nice muffins or croissants to treat yourself.

More Money Saving Ideas

  • You can spend a little bit on other items for affordable weekend romantic getaways such as some nice scented massage oils and candles to bring with you.  Be careful of your safety, of course, but scented candles can go a long way toward setting a romantic mood if you don’t have a fireplace.  You can even set candles around a picnic table on a campground for a luxurious mealtime setting!
  • Finding affordable activities while you’re away at affordable romantic weekend getaways is also a good idea.  Rather than blow a few hundred dollars on expensive spa services, give each other a massage instead! Not only will you save a bundle, but it’s a great way to spend alone time with your partner.
  • Walk around town rather than rent a car, and swim rather than rent jet skis. It won’t cost you anything, and you’ll have fun doing it together.

Of course you need to go without a few things when planning affordable romantic weekend getaways, but the key to success is to appreciate what you can do and what you can afford.  Your time away is about your relationship and spending time together, not about spending money on luxuries!

If you’re dead set on traveling somewhere far away for your romantic getaway, saving money on airfare should be a top priority.

So be modest and reasonable with your expectations and with what you think you need, and be determined to enjoy yourself no matter what and no matter where you are. Affordable romantic weekend getaways are well within reach. With a little planning, you can have a great time without going broke in the process.

couple on a romantic getawayHaving some relaxing alone time is critical for couples to reconnect with one another. Getting away from the daily drudgeries of the job, the constant crying and whining of children, the non-stop cell phone ringing, or perhaps all of the above, spending some time along at a romantic getaway is often just what the doctor ordered.

However, some there are some couples who plan for a romantic getaway, sometimes for months, only to return home extremely disappointed. Everything might be in place: the nicest resort, the sexiest clothes and perfume, and champagne by the bottle, and yet they return disappointed and let down with their week or weekend away. What happened and what did they miss?

What is the secret for a successful romantic getaway?

Perhaps the most important things to pay attention to when planning your romantic getaway is what happens even before you’ve left the house:  the communication between you and your partner.

Have you actually sat down and discussed what both of you consider romantic? One may want to paint the town red, while the other simply wants a restful retreat in a log cabin somewhere. One may want constant activity and excitement, while the other is looking forward to chilling out in a hotel room and resting.

The key here is being able to make compromises so that both of you can enjoy the time together. If you’re not both enjoying yourselves on your romantic getaway, it’s easy to see how this could squash any remnants of romance.

Talking to your partner before planning romantic getaways will help both of you keep your expectations in check. Quite often, what ends up happening is that one partner will expect a weekend of wining and dining, while the other one is assuming a getaway filled with golf, hiking in the mountains, and some water polo. Once again, the key component to successful romantic getaways is compromise.

One idea you can try is to spend your first day just in your hotel room or cabin, so you can spend some alone time together. Then, you can choose an activity you both enjoy the following day, and so on.

Another idea is to use a “curfew” on your romantic giveaways; you will promise each other that after a day of activities, you would designate a time to be back in the evening to spend some alone time and get rested for the day ahead.

The conclusion is that making too many assumptions about romantic getaways is a recipe for disaster. However, talking opening with each other about what both of your expectations are and how you would like to spend your romantic getaway before hand is a great way to ensure that both of you will have a good time.

Like anything, don’t just assume that your romantic getaway plans will be successful on their own. Instead, be proactive, listen to your partner, and you will be one step closer to having a successful romantic weekend that both of you will remember fondly.
